A CV Personal Statement for Economics and Financial Background

The financial and economic sectors are growing at a faster pace, and I have realised that our economy would fall to knees if it does not maintain the speed. Growing work opportunities have encouraged a ton of people to work in the economics and financial field.

Maths, economics and financial management are a few subjects that help you prepare for solving real-time problems. They are more engaging than other subjects like History.

For hundreds of thousands of years, money has governed our society. I had no much interest in commerce subjects, but I have developed an interest in these subjects over recent years. I have realised that understanding the basic concepts of economics and finance and how they are related to each other.

News headlines are enough to understand our economic and financial issues affect our entire life. An economy needs to stay stable. Otherwise, the world would become standstill.

It Was The Time to Ride On An Academic Journey

I excelled at mathematics when I was at school. When I enrolled for GCSE, I picked up economics. That was the first time I had chosen this subject. It had been the main subject in higher studies apart from business management and financial studies.

Alongside I enrolled in certificate and diploma courses in financial studies. These courses have been an additional advantage to expand the horizon of my knowledge. Since I had studied mathematics, and I was an excel student, I did not take too much time to make it in my strides. This helped me understand about financial calculations such as ratios and cash flow forecasts.

I was glad that it reflected all my hard work and dedication. Business courses improved my knowledge of those financial topics associated with economics. I learned a lot about various issues from the pre-estimation of a start-up to customer satisfaction, which is a pivotal factor to hit the ground running despite cutthroat competition. With such courses, I understood the importance of implementing a strategy to boost sales and deliver customer satisfaction.

The journey Takes One Road Ahead, i.e. a Professional

I wanted to gain practical knowledge to grow in my career. This is why I took part in an enterprise scheme and worked part-time in a local store. That practical experience exactly helped me understand how businesses work. Besides, I learned how stores communicate across all branches, how a record of all transactions are centralised to monitor demand and supply of products.

Having a few months’ experience under the belt, I worked for corporates after higher studies. I began working with small companies. Work experience gave me valuable insight into the corporate world, which was far different from the one I experienced in the local store.

When it comes to small companies, they do not hold a candle to large companies. The level of competition is too high that it becomes difficult for them to work at that level, and this I understood when I got a fantastic opportunity to work for Amazon.

It is an online platform inviting retails from all across the country to promote their products and sell them at better prices. Working at Amazon was entirely an indescribable feeling. I learned a lot of things, which I assume I could have never if I had not taken advantage of the opportunity.

The workload was undoubtedly high, and the company provided me with training. It developed my communication skills. I learned how to cooperate with different personalities. I got a chance to work independently as well as with a team.

Handling a team was a different experience. This improved my motivation and confidence level. I learned how to get work done from people without being impudent.

I was interviewed several times to give my opinions on new product lines. This required analytical judgment. I became a part of board meetings where I expressed how likely a product would be successful in the market. This improved my confidence a lot.

Apart from exploring the corporate world,

I travelled a lot. I met with several people and participated in various school exchange programs. I went and explored a lot in Italy, China, and France. I met with people from different cultural backgrounds.

My Final Observation

The economic sector is dynamic. I chose it because I wanted to explore more in this sector. Hopefully, I will continue to do it. Even if I need to fund professional courses, I will not hesitate to borrow money from reputed direct lenders like TargetLoans4u. Knowledge is the key to success. I believe that it empowers and shapes you. You should keep learning because it has no age bar.
